    Risk Coordinator

    Responsibilities:

    • Support the implementation of the overall risk strategy and policy and ensure risks taken by the Group are consistent with the Enterprise Risk Management framework and the risk strategy.
    • Assist in the implementation and monitoring of the Enterprise Risk Management framework, tools, practices, and policies to identify, measure, report, monitor and manage enterprise risks across the Africa50 Group.
    • Support in the design and implementation of second-level controls and proactively identify and implement internal control improvements to ensure that risks are effectively managed.
    • Support the Risk team in identifying, assessing, monitoring, analysing and aggregating risks within the organization and reporting on these risks to the Senior Leadership Team and Senior Management across the Group.

     

    Profile:

    • At least a Bachelors’ degree in a Financial, Scientific, Mathematical, Engineering or Economics background. An honours degree would be advantageous.
    • Minimum 5 to 7 years’ in-depth experience with knowledge and understanding of risk management in an investment management, development finance, private equity, or investment banking environment.
    • Strong interest in and passion for financial markets.
    • Good knowledge of macro-economics and finance.
    • Strong communication skills (both oral and written) with proven exposure to leadership.
    • Good time management, project management, and analytical skills.
    • Ability to work in a team and independently.
    • Good at building relationships.

     

    • Legal Counsel, Administration and Governance

      Responsibilities:

    • Providing advice on international public law including sovereign immunities issues and other legal matters relevant to international financing institutions;
    • Advising on administrative, governance, institutional and personnel matters.
    • Acting as the primary liaison with Africa50’s investor relations team on shareholder and board matters and reporting obligations;
    • Planning and executing Board communications strategy;
    • Preparing and coordinating materials for shareholder meetings and board meetings across the Africa50 Group, including drafting/supervising the issuance of minutes and corporate resolutions and related documentations etc.

     

    Profile:

    • A degree in private and public law, international finance, commercial law, comparative and corporate law;
    • At least three years’ experience in a top-tier law firm;
    • At least five years’ experience working as an in-house lawyer (ideally in the private sector);
    • Experience working on issues relevant to asset managers, private equity firms or international financing institutions.
    • Fluent in written and spoken English.

     

    Consultant, IT

    Responsibilities:

    • Ensure the proper functioning of business applications (incident management, ticket management, corrective, preventive, and evolutionary maintenance requests).
    • Monitor application performance and anticipate improvement needs.
    • Implement monitoring, auditing, and incident management procedures.
    • Ensure optimal application performance.
    • Monitor performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of applications and digital projects.
    • Manage the corrective and evolutionary maintenance of existing applications according to business needs and technological developments.

     

    Profile:

    • Rigorous and motivated IT engineer with a minimum of 4 years of experience.
    • Good academic background.
    • IT related Masters and/or Bachelor’s degree
    • Experienced with Odoo, Dynamics 365, Business Central, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Apps, etc.
    • Data governance
    • ITIL framework knowledge (incidents, problems, changes)

     

    Internal Auditor

    Responsibilities:

    Audit Planning & Risk Assessment

    • Participate in / lead the annual audit universal risk assessment process to identify and prioritize audit areas.
    • Contribute to the development of the annual internal audit plan.
    • Maintain and update risk registers / control libraries for assigned areas.
    • Audit Execution
    • Design audit scopes, testing procedures, and work programs based on identified risks.
    • Perform detailed evaluation of process and control design and operating effectiveness.
    • Conduct fieldwork: testing controls, analyzing data, sampling, documentation of findings.
    • Monitor and follow up on remediation of audit findings with business units.

     

    Profile:

    • At least a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or any other related discipline.
    • Being a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA), CISA, etc. would be a plus.
    • A minimum of 4 years relevant experience in internal audit, risk management; with experience in financial services / asset management / investment operations.
    • Good understanding of private equity, financial instruments, valuations. investment & asset management operations, project development, regulatory landscape. Ability to audit technology/IT controls is a plus.

    HR Analyst

    Responsibilities:

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of HR Files in HR systems.
    • Act as a point of contact for employees regarding HR policies, benefits, and administrative processes.
    • Prepare HR-related documentation (letters, certificates, etc.)
    • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures in all administrative matters
    • Support HR reporting and analytics by preparing dashboards, reports and workforce data.
    • Support audits, risk management, and compliance reviews.
    • Contribute to continuous improvement of HR processes and policies.
    • Collaborate with the wider HR team to implement organizational projects and programs

     

    Profile:

    • At least a Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or any other related discipline;
    • A minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience in a similar role.

    Investment Director, Project Development (AGIA)

    Responsibilities:

    1. Develop a strong pipeline of opportunities by anticipating market trends and employing sector/sponsor/country knowledge

    2. Execute and supervise AGIA-PD investments with a strong focus on achieving bankable projects

    3. Lead the structuring of complex transactions, including negotiations with sponsors, lenders, and public authorities.

    4. Set standards for thoroughness and provide quality control over the entire investment process

    5. Lead the development and presentation of investment recommendations.

    6. Lead and manage project teams; mentor and develop junior staff.

    7. Build and maintain strong relationships with local/regional/global/infrastructure companies, banking and multilateral partners, and government officials

    8. Develop a thorough knowledge of the power and transport sectors, including major market operators and technologies

    9. Profile:

    10. Hold 10+ years investment and industry experience in project development, investment and/or project finance, in the power and/or transport sectors within:

      • a utility/concession company
      • the project finance/infrastructure/power department
      • the infrastructure department in a Development Finance Institution
      • the infrastructure/PPP department of a transaction/financial advisory firm
      • an infrastructure private equity fund with significant exposure to project development
    11. MBA, MSc or equivalent qualification

    12. Demonstrated track record of closing complex infrastructure transactions

    13. Prior experience of mentoring and managing investment staff

    Senior Travels Coordinator

    Responsibilities:

    1.Travel Coordination & Oversight

    • Supervise and oversee the travel booking process carried out by Executive/Team Assistants and Travel Arranngers.

    • Ensure bookings are aligned with internal policies, entitlements, and budget constraints.

    • Monitor adherence to travel workflows, timelines, and quality standards.

    • Act as the central point of coordination for complex or high-level travel issues

    2. Liaison with Travel Agencies and Vendors

    • Serve as the primary contact for travel agencies and external travel providers (Hotels, Car suppliers, Airline companies, etc.)

    • Ensure the travel agency delivers timely, cost-efficient, and policy-compliant services.

    • Provide feedback and escalate issues from Executive/Team Assistants to the agency.

    • Oversee invoicing, service level agreements, and resolution of any disputes.

    • Profile:

    • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Hospitality, Travel Management or related field.

    • 10–12 years’ experience in corporate travel coordination and management.

    • Prior experience managing travel agencies or supervising booking processes is essential.

    • Strong organisational and coordination skills.

    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

    • High attention to detail and process compliance.

    • Good problem-solving and negotiation skills with vendors.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and travel platforms.

    • Fluency in English and French; other languages are an advantage.

    • Team Assistant, Project Development

      Responsibilities:

      • Manages the team database of contacts
      • Requests booking arrangements from travel agents for the Head of the Organizational Unit and the team
      • Works with the team members to confirm itinerary details, routing destination, travel dates, financial consideration
      • Prepares routine correspondence such as: emails, mailings, invitations…
      • Manages the filing of official correspondence going out of the department
      • Works with team to ensure travel file includes logistics related information

       

    • Profile:

    • Focused and rigorous 6+ years in a similar position
    • Looking for demonstrated academic excellence.
    • Business Administration related Masters and Bachelor degrees
    • Strong relationship to Africa – whether it be origin or a demonstrated long-term interest/commitment.  Existing relationships in Africa are a plus
    • English and French are a must
