Project Manager

Duties:

Provide  day-to-day management of the project, including organizing and attending meetings and documenting meeting outcomes

Collate inputs from provincial teams and integrate them into the EAF learning framework as well as other externally facing documentations, ensuring a strategic perspective is maintained.

Collate inputs and prepare briefing materials for monthly update discussions with the the funder , as well as biweekly update meetings with technical partners and the funder and VillageReach.

Track timeline and deliverables for all SOWs, including cost-effectiveness analysis, gender, provincial coordination etc.

Communicate with internal stakeholders within VillageReach’s DRC office and globally, including supporting the identification and resolution of challenges

Requirements:

• Must have a degree in public health, public policy or other relevant fields.
• At least 5 years’ experience in immunization and public health, particularly program management;Experience working in strategy, and ability to engage in strategic discussions is critical for the success of this role.
• Proven success working with all levels of staff in a multicultural environment to achieve goals. Ability to work across time zones from teams in Seattle, DRC and Geneva is essential.
• Prior experience documenting health program processes, including immunisation and/or community engagement, preferably with disadvantaged communities and related to public or community health services.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member in a fast-paced, cross-cultural environment.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance or Accounting or equivalent education and experience

• At least five years of professional experience with at least two of those managing grant finances and compliance; public sector grants a plus

• Fluency in English and Portuguese; both written and verbal

• Demonstrated financial management skills within the non-profit sector

• Experience with financial reporting

• Demonstrated familiarity with contract language and grant cost policy adherence

Logistics Assistant

Duties:

• Support the planning of logistics activities and the estimation of vaccine and other vaccination input needs.

• Participate in the assessment of logistical needs and inventory counts.

• Support the coordination of vaccine distribution up to the last mile of use and storage with partners and health teams.

• Support the development of decentralised, shorter and more efficient supply chains to reach the most remote health facilities.
• Assess cold chain capacity and participate in quarterly inventories of cold chain materials/equipment.

Requirements:

• Diploma in vaccination logistics (Logivac), supply chain, public health, pharmacy or related field.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in health logistics, ideally during vaccination campaigns.

• Knowledge of the cold chain system and vaccine management protocols.

• Strong organisational and communication skills.

• Ability to work in a team and under pressure in the field.

• Proficiency in computer tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SMT, DHIS 2).

• Fluency in Swahili and French. English is an asset.

Technical Consultant – Vaccine Program

Duties:

• Support the Health Zone Management Teams (ECZ) in campaign planning, including micro-planning, the timeline of activities over the 3 phases (before, during and after), mapping of stakeholders and interventions, planning of inventories and logistical needs, coordination of training, mapping of communities where there is vaccine hesitancy and resistance, the communication plan, the budget, and the list of community and traditional leaders .
• Support the ECZ in understanding the standards and guidelines for Measles and Rubella catch-up campaigns, as well as the introduction of the MR vaccine, by ensuring that national guidelines are translated effectively at the local level.
• Participate in technical coordination meetings at the Health Zone level (ECZ, CLC, monitoring and validation of data), and contribute to periodic program evaluations (PEV review, etc.) by contributing to the logistics recovery plan.
• Support the development of a post-campaign integration plan for measles vaccination into routine immunisation.
• Participate in all preparatory activities for the introduction of the new RR vaccine.

Requirements:

• Postgraduate degree in public health, field epidemiology, nursing, medicine or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in implementing vaccination programs, preferably with experience in Supplementary Immunization Activities (SIAs).
• Experience supporting polio, measles, yellow fever or other vaccine campaigns at the national or subnational level.
• Knowledge of campaign guidelines and monitoring frameworks.
• Strong skills in training, coordination, data analysis and report writing.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in multicultural environments
• Proficiency in computer tools, particularly Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SMT, DHIS 2)

Provincial Project Officer

Duties:

• Provide ongoing support to EAF provincial coordination.
• Support EAF activities implementation
• Work with the EAF Program Manager and the DRC Lead for Advocacy, Communication and Partnership to engage the media and share key activities and outcomes of ZD efforts.
• Support and participate in key provincial EPI meetings; consolidating and analyzing the monthly data of the performance indicators of the Mashako Plan; monitoring the implementation of the action points taken during the coordination meetings;
• Support the development and writing of policy and advocacy materials, as needed
• Support relations with media in order to disseminate VillageReach’s impact on the field

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, public health, social sciences or other relevant fields
• At least 3 years of experience working focused on advocacy and communications.
• Prior experience working in immunization and/or community organizing and engagement, preferably with disadvantaged communities and related to public or community health services;
• Prior experience in media relations, including drafting and pitching op-eds and stories to top tier media outlets.
• Prior experience documenting program processes is desired;
• Ability to work independently and as a team member in a fast-paced, cross-cultural environment.
• Proven success working with all levels of staff in a multicultural environment to achieve goals.
