NHS JOBS – Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS IS HIRING NOW

    seamanBy seamanJune 27, 2025No Comments8 Mins Read

Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is a major provider of mental health, community and forensic services across Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, and Leicestershire. With around 9,000 staff and a £590 million budget for 2022/23, it operates high-security institutions like Rampton Hospital and community mental health services at 200+ sites.

The Trust places strong emphasis on compassionate, team-based care, underpinned by values such as honesty, respect, and inclusion. Like many NHS organisations, it relies significantly on international staff; around 30% of nurses across England’s NHS are non‑UK nationals.

    International Nurse recruitment

Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust has developed a program to provide comprehensive assistance to international nurses as they transition to the UK and work towards becoming a registered mental health nurse or registered general health nurse.

To accomplish this, they are committed to helping to successfully complete the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) within the first 12 weeks of arrival. Their skilled clinical educators are readily available to provide guidance and training.

    Relocation package for International Nurses

Every international nurse who becomes a part of our team will benefit from an extensive relocation package, which includes:

    • Reimbursement of International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or Occupational English Test (OET) fees.
    • Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registration fees

    Be OSCE-ready before arrival
Study clinical scenarios common in UK mental health settings. Emphasis on de-escalation, self-harm protocols, and specific ward norms that may differ from your home training or experience

Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust offers a robust, well-supported route for international nurses through its structured recruitment programme, comprehensive relocation package, training and pastoral care. They currently have roles available for mental health and general health nurses, as well as positions across workforce services and flexible banking.

By carefully aligning your application with person specifications, preparing for UK standards like the OSCE, and engaging early with recruiters and current international staff, you can significantly increase your chances of success.
