As a community Nurse working with the Evening Team most of the work allocated to you will of an unplanned nature. The service works as an on-call service covering the County of Worcestershire taking direct referrals from patients, 111, Ambulance Service and discharging hospitals. You can expect to have a comprehensive induction and work alongside peers until you are confident to then work alone.
The evening service nurses primarily work alone, and have work allocated via a handheld tablet by the triage nurse based at Droitwich. You will be able to start your visits from home if the geographics dictates.
