Health Specialist
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments by analyzing disease burden, health system capacity, and reviewing secondary data to inform decision-making for preparedness, advocacy, and program design.
- Lead the technical aspects of the project design and proposal development process for new health programming, including the development of proposal narratives, log frames, budgets, and other supporting documents.
- Work together with other sections of (program development, MEAL and relevant sector head(s) to design integrated, multi-sectoral approaches, proposals, and budgets with a strong focus on impactful health interventions.
- Proactively seek information on potential donor sources and share project opportunities in Health with quality programmes and operations teams linking to Country and Area strategies on health.
Qualifications:
- Degree in medicine/ Public health or Master of public health; Health Service management with training and experience in and project planning and management techniques.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of relevant technical experience, including at different level
- Proven experience of developing and managing high-quality, innovative and cost-effective technical Health projects in fragile and insecure environments, preferably in Somalia context and with International NGOs
Support Services Manager
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the smooth running of the Capital and base including staff supervision, maintenance and liaison with landlords, contractors and suppliers
- Supervise all financial activities to ensure all cash management needs, reporting deadlines and internal and external audit requirements are met
- Ensure all internal financial controls are in place and that ACF and donor guidelines are followed, oversee preparation of weekly closing and monthly financial reports, review reconciliations done by financial officer in Sylogist
- Manage country and project budget(s), ensure expenditure is within set guidelines, ensuring all funds are well and timely spent in accordance with donor requirements and time frames. Production of monthly Budget Follow-Up is a pre-requisite deliverable
Qualifications:
- · Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration/Management, Economics, Commerce or related studies
- · At least 5 years of professional experience in the NGO/ humanitarian sector
- · Master’s degree in finance or business administration will be an added advantage
- · Strong financial experience (accounting and financial management)
- · Experience in Administration will be an added advantage
- · Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with at least three years of experience post-qualification
- · Registered member of professional bodies i.e. National Board of Accountants and Auditors (NBAA), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), ZICA.
Program Manager
Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee implementation plans, budgets, HR, and procurement for new and ongoing awards in coordination with Capital Technical Team and the Flied Coordinator.
- Conduct context and needs assessments to inform program design and ensure interventions are context appropriate.
- Ensure program adherence to the organisation policies, child safeguarding, confidentiality, and quality standards.
- Maintain administrative and programmatic documentation in compliance with donor requirements, coordinating with the Field Coordinators to address any programmatic adjustments.
- Support logistical needs and regular planning for efficient implementation
Qualifications:
- · Master’s degree in nutrition, Public health, or related field with 5+ years of experience.
- · Experience managing donor-funded projects (USAID, ECHO, SIDA, WFP, BMZ UNICEF, etc.), Knowledge of national and global nutrition/health policies.
- · Experience in INGOs is preferred.
- · Strong program management and team leadership skills.
- · Proficiency in MS Office and statistical software (Epi Info, SPSS).

Gender and Protection Specialist
Responsibilities:
- · Support in development, management, and implementation of gender and protection focused activities for all program components.
- · Under the guidance of the Program Development, Quality and Implementation Director, support to build and promote internal capabilities and collaboration in mainstreaming gender within Action Against Hunger Program
- · Support to transfer gender information and updates between the Gender Task Force and South Sudan country office.
- · Support the department to maintain the Gender Minimum Standard (GMS) and Gender Transformative Standards (GTS)
- · Support resource mobilisation efforts for Action Against Hunger South Sudan mission and ensure that gender is effectively mainstreamed in all project full cycle.
Qualifications:
· Master’s Degree in Gender studies, Social Sciences or related field.
· At least five years working in humanitarian response, preferably with direct experience in gender-based violence programming in diverse contexts including emergency and recovery/protracted situations.
· Fluency in English both verbal and written. Working knowledge of Arabic is an asset.
· Proven experience in gender and protection mainstreaming across other sectors.
Program Manager

Infrastructure & Disaster Risk Reduction Officer
Responsibilities:
- · Ensured the technical quality of assets created under the Project across all the locations
- · Supervise the construction of community assets, dyke construction and creation of drainage channels around those facilities within the project locations
- · Adopt best practices and execute effective selection criteria for all cash for work activities across the project locations
- · Provide overall technical support to the community-based skilled technicians and cash-for-work beneficiaries through training, supporting identification and prioritization of market structures mainly dyke and drainage channel
- · Work closely with project participants to ensure adoption of best practices such as good site selection of flood channels, formation of ditches and sloping
- · Provide technical support and supervision to participants’ activities in all the project areas for the construction of the community assets
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Architecture, design and/or construction, rural development.
· Minimum three years of experience in implementing cash for work, livelihoods and or other market systems strengthening projects; with good aptitude of logical framework approach; experience with rural growth strategies including, local economic development, market-driven agricultural and private sector development initiatives
· Any other specialised training in similar fields and cash for work management and monitoring and evaluation is an added advantage.
· Knowledge on food security & livelihood and cash and voucher programming is an added advantage.
Food Security and Livelihood Officer
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the implementation of activities and ensure activities are implemented in a timely manner and meeting the standards
- Develop plans for the implementation of the FSL project in the assigned Payams and Bomas
- Work closely with M&E Officer to ensure that programme indicators, monitoring formats, databases, data analysis, and reporting are maintained and harmonised.
- Identify community needs, understand the natural resource management challenges and suggest potential solutions appropriate to the programme.
- Through guidance support from FSL head, suggest innovative ideas and appropriate techniques for FSL interventions based on the context.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Agricultural Extension or related fields.
- Minimum of three years experience in Food Security and agriculture programming
- Excellent communication skills in English, fluency in a local language is required;
- Intermediate computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook);
- Experience in community development programming, preferably in food security or livelihoods; and experience in agricultural extension and training;
- Experience in developing training materials and facilitating workshops;
